Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver home-based Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers and their families. The role offers flexible scheduling and locations, with ongoing clinical and professional development support.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement IFSP goals, coach families, and provide therapy in the child’s natural environments, including homes and community settings.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license required.
• Pediatric experience, Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
