Job summary

Bird is seeking a City Operations Manager to drive end-to-end operations in the Indianapolis area, owning P&L and coordinating with leadership, vendors, and city stakeholders.

The role requires a strategic, hands-on leader with strong communication skills,Excel expertise, and the ability to grow and motivate an operations team across multiple sites. Travel between two warehouses is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience, with at least 1+ year in managing team members.
• Engaging communicator capable of connecting with senior leaders and motivating teams.
• Strong Excel/data management skills.
• Experience building networks and liaising with external partners and city stakeholders.
• Data-driven by nature with strong attention to detail and process improvement.
• Ability to simplify difficult problems into actionable tasks.
• Comfortable traveling between two warehouses in Indianapolis & Bloomfield.
• Ability to learn new tools and adapt to new concepts.
• Proactive, self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operation of the portfolio with support from Operations leadership.
• Track and report critical operational, ridership, supply and demand metrics.
• Use data to optimize processes and track results.
• Represent Bird in dealings with city, vendors, and third parties.
• Drive local growth initiatives and campaigns to improve market share.
• Manage costs with focus on profitability and positive margins.
• Build and lead an efficient operations team, overseeing hourly frontline staff.
• Prioritize tasks, solve problems, and navigate obstacles.
• Collaborate across the organization to ensure timely resolutions and quality control.
• Be proactive in communication and feedback loops.
