Job summary

HDR is seeking an Industrial Water/Wastewater Team Lead to guide project teams in delivering technically sound solutions for industrial water and wastewater facilities. You will oversee operations, staff development, and client engagements across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), a PE license, and 7+ years of relevant experience. This role emphasizes leadership, project management, and collaboration with national leaders and marketing staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 7+ years experience.
• Master’s degree preferred; PE license may be required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production operations: staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.
• May serve as Project Manager or Deputy PM on projects and lead industrial water/wastewater work.
• Coordinate services with other sections; manage staff and technical service functions.
• Involve in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews; interact with clients.
• Direct project staff and lead water/wastewater projects as project director/PM, including proposals and interviews.
• Produce design calculations and technical reports; prepare engineering plans for water and wastewater facilities.
• Ensure work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated via project management systems.
• Perform other duties as needed.
