Job summary

Stantec is seeking a process or mechanical engineer, or engineer-in-training, focused on industrial wastewater treatment and process mechanical design. You will work under senior guidance on planning, design, and construction projects across multiple offices, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role offers exposure to design documentation, CAD modeling, and field work, with opportunities to contribute to sustainability and cost-estimating efforts within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 1–3 years of process or mechanical engineering experience for industrial clients.
• Ability to obtain or already hold an EIT certification.
• Experience with CAD tools and engineering documentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports project teams in design documentation, plans and reports for project elements.
• Performs design tasks using CAD and 3D modeling to develop process mechanical layouts.
• Develops and revises facility layouts, diagrams and P&ID reference materials.
• Coordinates with other disciplines to ensure design intent is met.
• Contributes to cost estimates, value engineering and field observations as needed.
• Assists with preparation of design calculations and engineering analyses.
