Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Utility Operator for its Theodore, AL cement plant. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and support safe plant operations while working a rotating shift schedule.

Required education includes a high school diploma or GED, with a preferred associates/technical degree. Proficiency in Word and Excel is expected, and previous cement industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• 5–10 years of industrial experience preferred.
• Good understanding of cement manufacturing process preferred.
• High safety awareness required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, minor installations and some electrical work.
• Troubleshoot production issues and take corrective actions.
• Perform preheater tower cleaning including Cardox use.
• Train other operators and participate in team meetings.
• Work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as assigned.
• Duties as assigned with a safety-first mindset.
