Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Utility Operator for its Theodore, AL cement plant. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and assist in keeping plant operations running smoothly while adhering to safety protocols.

Required education includes a high school diploma or GED, with an associates/technical degree preferred. Experience in industry (5–10 years) and knowledge of PPE usage are valued. The role involves rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of industrial experience preferred and basic understanding of cement manufacturing processes.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work with minimal supervision; must follow PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, minor installations and some electrical work.
• Troubleshoot production issues and take corrective actions.
• Preheater tower cleaning and Cardox usage.
• Train other operators and participate in team meetings.
• Work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
