Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Utility Operator for its Theodore, AL cement plant. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot production issues, and assist with minor electrical tasks to keep plant operations running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associates/technical degree and 5–10 years of industrial experience. You will work rotating shifts and must follow strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of industrial experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of cement manufacturing process beneficial.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to follow protocols.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance, repairs, minor installations, replacements and some electrical work.
• Troubleshoot production issues and take corrective actions.
• Perform preheater tower cleaning using Cardox.
• Train other operators and participate in team meetings.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as assigned.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
