Job summary

Productivity Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Distribution Customer Service Specialist or Inside Sales Representative in Richardson, TX. This role focuses on providing technical support, order processing, quotes, and tooling recommendations to manufacturing customers.

You will leverage knowledge of cutting tools, industrial supplies, and distributor operations to help customers succeed, with training available for tools and products.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service, inside sales, or counter sales experience within an industrial distributor
• Strong familiarity with industrial supplies, vendor-managed inventory, or cutting tool product lines
• Proficiency with distributor ERP and inventory management systems
• Excellent communication skills and professional phone presence
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn technical product catalogs
• Hands-on CNC machining experience or basic understanding of milling/turning/drilling/cutting tool manufacturers is a plus (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional day-to-day customer service, managing inbound inquiries via phone, email, and in person interactions.
• Process customer orders, prepare quotes, manage will-call requests, and provide general order assistance.
• Help manufacturing customers select the right cutting tools, drills, taps, inserts, holders, and industrial supplies.
• Coordinate with our technical team to recommend tooling solutions based on workpiece material and machining applications.
• Continuously expand your technical tooling knowledge through manufacturer-led training and product education.
