Job summary

Austin Industrial, a leading general contractor serving oil, gas, chemical, power, and manufacturing sectors, is seeking an experienced Timekeeper for its Lake Charles, LA area operations. The role focuses on weekly payroll, time reports, and payroll data integrity in an industrial environment.

Strong Microsoft Office skills and Viewpoint knowledge are desired. The Timekeeper will support payroll processing, cost reporting, and close statements, with opportunities for growth and collaborative

Qualifications

• 4+ years direct experience in a Timekeeping role with payroll.
• Strong experience with Word, Excel, Access and Outlook; Viewpoint knowledge a plus.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Experience in an industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and prepare weekly payroll and verify time reports to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare controls and merge with other data required for payroll.
• Prepare control documents for reconciling payroll, payables, and receivables.
• Prepare the preparation of pay estimates, cost reports, etc.
• Assist with new employee sign-ups and basic personnel administration.
• Assist with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing statements, reports, and invoices.
• Monitor subcontractor cost and issuance of back charges.
• Train new payroll employees.
• Distribute payroll.
