Job summary

NELSON is seeking a Technical Designer III to join our Industrial Practice in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on developing construction documents, coordinating with teams, and delivering project outcomes through design and execution.

Responsibilities include leading design processes, specifying materials, supporting PMs, and preparing 2D/3D drawings while ensuring adherence to NELSON standards. Requires advanced Revit and AutoCAD proficiency and a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• 8+ years experience in Architecture or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process for moderately complex projects independently and support larger complex projects under supervision.
• Develop innovative design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe and within budget.
• Selection and specification of materials, products, and architectural systems.
• Support the Project Manager in establishing project goals, workplan, schedule, and budget parameters.
• Lead the Construction Administration phase including RFI’s and shop drawing reviews.
• Prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
