Job summary

Energy Management Corporation is seeking a Technician Support Specialist to be the lifeline for our field service teams. You’ll schedule and dispatch technicians, serve as the main communication point between customers, technicians, managers, and sales, and track work orders from start to finish.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of dispatch experience, strong customer service, and the ability to relay technical information clearly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatch experience for service technicians (industrial, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, diesel, etc.).
• Strong customer service skills—confident, clear, and calm under pressure.
• Comfort with mechanical/electrical terminology and diagrams.
• Ability to absorb technical information quickly and relay it effectively.
• Previous experience with engines, mechanical devices, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities—especially when priorities change quickly.
• Ability to understand OEM vs aftermarket parts.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch generator technicians, field engineers, and motor shop personnel.
• Serve as the main communication point between customers, technicians, managers, and sales.
• Review work orders, parts needs, and technical details to assign the right technician to every job.
• Track jobs from start to finish—PMRs, billing steps, warranty needs, and follow-up.
• Manage after-hours emergency call routing and technician schedules.
• Support inside sales by following up on quotes and jobs awaiting parts.
• Communicate with accounting regarding customers on credit hold.
• Partner with vendors on warranty/start-up documentation.
