Job summary

Energy Management Corporation in Utah is hiring a Technician Support Specialist to be the lifeline for our field service teams, coordinating technicians, dispatching engineers, and handling parts and priorities in a technical environment.

You will be the central communication hub between customers, technicians, managers, and sales, review work orders, and track jobs from start to finish—PMRs, billing steps, warranty needs, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience routing or dispatching service technicians (industrial, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, diesel, etc.).
• Strong customer service skills—confident, clear, and calm under pressure.
• Comfort working with mechanical/electrical terminology and diagrams.
• Ability to quickly absorb technical information and relay it effectively.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch generator technicians, field engineers, and motor shop personnel.
• Serve as the main communication point between customers, technicians, managers, and sales.
• Review work orders, parts needs, and technical details to assign the right technician to every job.
• Track jobs from start to finish—PMRs, billing steps, warranty needs, and follow-up.
• Manage after-hours emergency call routing and technician schedules.
• Support inside sales by following up on quotes and jobs awaiting parts.
• Communicate with accounting regarding customers on credit hold.
• Partner with vendors on warranty/start-up documentation.
