Securitas, Inc. in Dixon, IL is seeking an Industrial Security Officer (Part Time) to monitor premises, enforce access control, and patrol multiple client sites. You will help maintain a safe environment and report safety concerns.

The role requires a high school diploma, good customer service, and the ability to work independently on weekends and overnight shifts. Steel toe boots and pre-employment screening are required; licensing is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.
• Pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.
• Active PERC license preferred.
• Ability to pick up extra days/hours as needed.
• Steel toe boots required.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct lengthy hourly foot patrols of the property.
• Monitor cameras and access control duties.
• Carry out site-specific tasks and duties as required.

Wage:$16.26/HR

Schedule: Sat - Sun: 12AM - 8AM & Mon: 4PM - 12AM

TheIndustrial Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.

• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Active PERC license preferred.
• Must have the ability to pickup extra days / hours as needed.
