Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer - PT to help maintain a safe environment in Dekalb, IL. The role involves monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling multiple sites with a focus on visitor management and incident reporting.

You will engage with client personnel and guests, perform post orders, and respond calmly to emergencies. The position offers supportive benefits and opportunities for growth within our security team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce safety regulations.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks and duties of similar nature as required for assigned site.

Primary Location: Dekalb, IL

Wage: $19.50/HR

Schedules:

• Mon, Wed, & Fri - Sat: 6PM - 11PM
• Mon, Wed, & Fri: 12PM - 6PM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time.
