Job summary

Securitas, Inc. in Dekalb, IL is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients. You will monitor premises, control access, and patrol multiple sites to deter and report safety issues.

The role requires good customer service, ability to work independently, and willingness to participate in pre-employment screening. The schedule includes evening hours; compensation is $19.50 per hour with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer/tech skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must work independently.
• Must stay calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen & background).
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks of similar nature at assigned site.

Schedules:

• Mon, Wed, & Fri - Sat: 6PM - 11PM
• Mon, Wed, & Fri: 12PM - 6PM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
