Job summary

NuSil seeks an Industrial Security Director / Head of Product Security to oversee security programs and lead the security organization for aerospace, defense sectors. Based in Carpinteria, CA, the role reports to executive leadership and requires U.S.

citizenship and a current DoD TS/SCI clearance. The candidate will develop and implement security policies, guide program execution, and coordinate with customers and agencies to ensure compliance with government requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years in Industrial Security or graduate degree with 10+ years in Industrial Security.
• U.S. citizen with active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Detailed knowledge of NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, NIST SP 800-53/171, DFARS.
• Proven leadership and strong communication across executive and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead industrial security programs aligned with government requirements.
• Mentor security personnel and coordinate with executive leadership, customers, suppliers, and staff.
• Interpret government security requirements and ensure contractual compliance with customers and agencies.
• Maintain security incident response plans and risk mitigation activities.
