Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking an Industrial Account Manager to identify, develop, and manage supplier relationships while sourcing ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. This role blends business development, account management, and strategic purchasing in a field-driven, fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will build long-term relationships, negotiate effectively, and travel up to 50% to meet customers and partners.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
• Knowledge of scrap metals and market pricing trends is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commodity purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, including pricing, contracts, and shipment terms.
• Prospect and visit new customers across industrial accounts, retail, dealers, and demolition projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and exceptional customer service.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, manage lead times, inventory updates, and compliance records.
• Drive growth by identifying solutions to improve scrap recovery and meet sourcing quotas.
