Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative to identify, develop, and manage supplier relationships, sourcing ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. You will drive growth through proactive field visits, strong negotiation, and cross-team collaboration to ensure timely deliveries and superior service.

The role requires up to 50% travel, relocation flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
• Knowledge of scrap metals and market pricing trends is a plus.
• Excellent communication; proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commodity purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, including pricing, contracts, and shipment terms.
• Prospect and visit new customers across industrial accounts, retail, dealers, and demolition projects to grow opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and high customer service.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, manage lead times, inventory, and records for planning and compliance.
• Drive growth by identifying solutions that improve scrap recovery and meet sourcing quotas.
