Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking an Industrial Account Manager to identify, develop, and manage supplier relationships while sourcing ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. This role blends business development, account management, and strategic purchasing in a fast-paced field environment.

You will negotiate purchases, prospect new clients, and collaborate with teams to ensure on-time deliveries and top-tier service, with travel up to 50% and a focus on long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
• Knowledge of scrap metals market pricing trends (preferred, but not required).
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commodity purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, including pricing, contracts, and shipment terms to maximize profitability.
• Prospect and visit new customers across industrial accounts, retail, dealers, and demolition projects to grow business opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and exceptional customer service.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing lead times, inventory updates, and accurate records for planning and compliance.
• Drive growth by identifying solutions that improve scrap recovery and meet sourcing quotas.
