Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to install and service commercial refrigeration systems in Dallas. You will follow customer specifications, building codes, and industry best practices to ensure reliable, efficient installations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in construction with refrigeration experience, EPA Type II certification, and strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry related to HVAC systems.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
5+ years in construction with hands-on refrigeration/electrical/fixtures experience.
EPA Certification (Type II).
Experience in copper brazing.
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
Knowledge of carpentry and piping refrigeration equipment.
Knowledge of reading blueprints for refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
Ability to read and use hand and power tools.
Safety-focused with ability to oversee work activities.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Install refrigeration systems following customer specifications, codes and best practices.
Pipe cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including wiring as required.
Install pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
Weld and slip-hose copper pipes and assist the foreman on site.
Support installing/remodeling supermarket refrigeration systems.
