Job summary

CoolSys in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced refrigeration installer to install and remodel supermarket refrigeration systems. You will follow customer specs, building codes, and proper piping practices, including wiring as required and supporting foremen on construction sites.

The role requires 5+ years in construction with refrigeration experience, EPA Type II certification, and strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and blueprint reading. A valid driving record is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in construction with hands-on refrigeration, electrical or fixtures work.
• EPA Certification (Type II) required.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to wire installations.
• Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and blueprints.
• Ability to read blueprints for refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration systems following customer specifications and building codes.
• Piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, including wiring as required.
• Install pipe hangers as directed by the foreman.
• Weld and slip-hose copper pipes; assist foreman on the job.
• Support by installing/remodeling supermarket refrigeration systems and coils.
