Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced architect to join our Des Moines area team. You will lead planning, design, documentation, and construction administration for diverse facilities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams through all project phases.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Architecture, with 5+ years of licensure, Revit proficiency, and strong communication skills. Emphasis on codes, sustainable design, and collaboration within an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Registered Architect.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and related tools.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Knowledge of codes and planning skills.
• Active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, documentation, and construction administration.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through all project phases.
• Conduct owner/client and internal meetings.
• Review documents for discipline conflicts.
• Perform QA/QC and technical reviews.
• Write and edit architectural specifications.
• Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
• Manage design activities and prepare construction documents.
• Site work sessions with Client Representatives and Project Managers.
