Job summary

HDR in the United States seeks a Project Architect to lead design and delivery of construction documents for diverse building types, including data centers and processing facilities. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and drive QA/QC across projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project managers, clients, and agencies, with opportunities to shape high-performance buildings and sustainable design practices across markets.

Qualifications

• Be knowledgeable in technical design concepts, code applications, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflows for industrial-type facilities.
• Lead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
• Lead project teams with varied levels of experience to successfully complete and deliver construction documents and intermediate milestone deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage and undertake design activities and the production of detailed documents required for construction.
• Independently coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team through all phases of a project.
• Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
• Perform QA/QC and cross discipline technical reviews.
• Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders.
• Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
• Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Client Representatives, Project Managers and other disciplines.
• Perform other duties as needed.
