Job summary

Olin is hiring a Process Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 in Independence, MO. The role supports operations, maintenance and safety teams with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives, including small capital projects.

The intern will lead at least three projects, assist in policies for preventive/predictive maintenance, and help implement process improvements in small-caliber ammunition production. ITAR access and U.S. citizenship are required; housing stipend available.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in undergraduate Industrial, Mechanical, or Metallurgical degree program.
• Overall GPA 3.0+ on a 4.0 scale; transcript required each term.
• Experience in ammunition/ firearms industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects during rotation.
• Support maintenance in development of policies for preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements in ammunition production.
• Collect and communicate data to support engineering projects.
