Job summary

Weyerhaeuser in Buckhannon, WV seeks a results-driven Process Control Engineer to evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, develop control strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards. You will lead training and manage projects focused on safety and operational excellence within the maintenance department.

This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires PLC/HMI experience, Rockwell familiarity, and a proactive approach to safety and reliability across production

Qualifications

• BS degree preferred with 5+ years PLC/HMI experience.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environments with safety compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify areas that need process control optimization.
• Evaluate the efficiency of manufacturing technologies, instruments, equipment, and tools.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance methods to reduce unscheduled downtime and ensure uptime goals.
• Drive electrical safety culture based on NFPA 70E compliance.
• Use preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime and improve reliability.
• Lead and train teams to maximize technical skills.
• Utilize CMMS to prioritize maintenance requests and manage inventory.
