Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology seeks a Process Controls Engineer to design, program, implement, and optimize control systems for our Middletown, Ohio facility. You will serve as the technical expert for DCS, PLC, and HMI across manufacturing processes, leading capital projects and coordinating contractors.

Responsibilities include developing control strategies, maintaining documentation, troubleshooting advanced control issues, and supporting site-wide automation initiatives with SAP and plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with 5+ years in industrial controls in manufacturing.
• Associate’s degree in controls engineering technology or equivalent with 10+ years in industrial controls in manufacturing.
• Extensive experience with ABB DCS, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley controls systems.
• Strong project management and leadership skills; experience with capital projects, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient with SAP/ERP, industrial networking, and machine safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize control devices for continuous board manufacturing equipment.
• Lead controls-related capital projects from concept to commissioning and startup.
• Coordinate contractors and ensure safety, quality, and project specs.
• Support continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and plant-wide automation standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operations teams.
