Ryan Companies US Inc is hiring an Estimator II for our National Industrial team. This role supports the preconstruction process through detailed cost analysis, quantity take-offs, and subcontractor coordination for high-tech manufacturing facilities and biotech production sites.

You will mentor junior staff, validate cost data, and collaborate with project teams to deliver accurate conceptual and detailed estimates using Uniformat II and CSI standards.

Qualifications

• 4 year engineering, architectural or management degree or relevant field experience.
• 6+ years commercial construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand project plans.
• Proficiency with CSI and Uniformat II work breakdown structures.
• Perform quantity take-offs and summarize data meaningfully.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with OST, Bluebeam, VICO, Navisworks and Revit is a plus.
• Knowledge of design-build, CM at Risk and best-value processes.
• Able to teach skills and knowledge to others.
• Knowledge of construction means, methods, building types and procurement methods.
• Able to listen, prioritize and value others’ opinions.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with preconstruction managers and project teams to develop accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs for all construction systems.
• Solicit subcontractor pricing for budgeting and bidding events.
• Scope, select and recommend subcontractors based on value and requirements.
• Create and monitor project estimate updates as scope evolves.
• Maintain data integrity through archiving estimates and tracking costs.
• Support preconstruction with cost validation and design input.
• Review and provide feedback on estimates from others.
• Mentor new estimators and project staff.
• Assist clients with conceptual budgets using Uniformat II cost data.
