Job summary

fairlife, LLC in Chicago region seeks an IC Technician to evaluate and improve process control systems, provide day-to-day technical support, and train end users on new installations. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives and integration with contractors to ensure proper transfer of changes.

The role emphasizes standardization of control logic, documentation, and collaboration with maintenance and operations to optimize process control across the plant.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum maintenance experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with PLCs: Allen Bradley SLC 500, CompactLogix & ControlLogix.
• Proven experience with HMI/SCADA: Wonderware, FTView ME, FTView SE.
• Proven experience with industrial networks: ControlNet, EtherNet/IP.
• IEC 61131-3 languages: ladder diagram, function block diagram, structured text, etc.
• Associate’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related training.
• Industrial electrician training and related military service programs.
• Experience programming in Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain instruments and controls in manufacturing.
• Work as part of a team to plan, analyze and control process quality.
• Provide technical training to lower-level personnel.
• Inspect and adjust PLCs and HMIs using electrical test equipment and diagrams.
• Maintain and update all process control network systems.
• Liaise with outside controls contractors and system integrators for start-up and commissioning.
