Job summary

Hearthside in Illinois (Carol Stream) seeks a Controls Technician to develop, test, and implement programming and electrical controls across PLC, GUI, and gateway platforms. The role involves upgrading systems, creating electrical schematics, and training staff for hands-on operation and maintenance.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot VFDs, servos, and high/low voltage systems, read AutoCAD schematics, and support maintenance with wiring diagrams and tune-ups.

Qualifications

• Electrical/PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and modify electrical/GUI PLC controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Basic understanding of PID loops and control logic.

Responsibilities

• Electrical system project management.
• Electrical/Programming troubleshooting and debugging.
• Training technicians on electrical/PLC systems.
• Manage inventory and backups for machine print libraries.
