Job summary

fairlife, LLC in Coopersville, MI is seeking an IC Technician to continuously evaluate and support process control systems, configure PLCs, HMIs, and related hardware, and assist with system start-ups and commissioning with contractors.

You will contribute to Advanced Process Control, Alarm Management and Operator Interface optimization, while training end users and keeping documentation up to date. This role offers a comprehensive benefits program and annual bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years maintenance experience in industrial control system development and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLCs: Allen Bradley SLC 500, CompactLogix & ControlLogix.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA: Wonderware, FTView ME, FTView SE.
• Experience with industrial networks: ControlNet, EtherNet/IP.
• Strong PLC skills with system administration and maintenance activities, and hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Experience programming in IEC 61131-3 languages (ladder, FBD, ST, IL, SFC).
• Associate's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related training.
• Additional experience with machinery repair and control systems.
• Additional training as an industrial electrician.
• Experience programming in Visual Basic.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized duties in the repair and maintenance of instruments and controls involved in bringing materials from a raw state to a state that is ready for customers.
• Work as part of a team to plan, analyze and control the quality of processes.
• Provide technical training to lower-level personnel.
• Inspect, repair, and adjust PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment using electrical test equipment and diagrams.
• Arrange for repair and replacement of instruments and control systems that fail to operate and monitor processes to prevent malfunctions.
• Maintain and update all process control network systems.
