SRM Concrete is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician in Jackson, Alabama to maintain, repair, and upgrade plant equipment and facilities. The role focuses on electrical systems, plumbing, welding, and heavy machinery to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, welding fabrication, and documenting activities. A high school diploma or equivalent and relevant experience are required, with safety training and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within industrial environments, with electrical/plumbing/welding skills.
• Certifications or qualifications in relevant trades are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment to identify wear or malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule to minimize breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly.
• Use welding to fabricate or reinforce plant structures as needed.
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Coordinate with management and external contractors for complex repairs.
• Maintain safety and follow protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support plant safety team by identifying hazards and implementing actions.
