Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with expertise in electrical, plumbing and welding to keep plant operations running smoothly.

You will perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment, collaborating with management and outside contractors, while upholding safety standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a maintenance role within an industrial/manufacturing environment; Quarry experience desirable.
• Technical proficiency in electrical systems, plumbing, and welding; relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of independent work and teamwork.
• Commitment to safety and knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations for plant settings.
• Education: high school diploma required; additional technical training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of plant equipment and systems to identify wear or malfunctions.
• Execute preventative maintenance according to schedule to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly.
• Utilize welding skills to fabricate or reinforce structures and equipment.
• Collaborate with management to prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
