Job summary

SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to keep our production plant running smoothly. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and timely repairs across electrical, plumbing, welding, and heavy equipment systems.

You will work with plant management and external contractors to prioritize tasks and ensure safety protocols are followed, contributing to reliable operations across our facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within an industrial or mining environment.
• Technical proficiency in electrical, plumbing, and welding tasks.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical/plumbing issues under pressure.
• Certifications or qualifications related to electrical/plumbing/welding are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect plant equipment and systems for wear or malfunctions to prevent disruption.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to a scheduled plan.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly.
• Utilize welding skills to fabricate or reinforce plant structures and equipment.
• Record maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent for history.
• Coordinate with management and external contractors for complex repairs.
