Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Industrial Outside Sales Engineer for EADS Distribution to expand a growing territory. You will call on engineers, maintenance staff and other decision makers to identify pump, valve and instrumentation needs using a consultative sales approach.

In this role you will develop new business, strengthen relationships, conduct product trainings, and prepare reports on calls, leads and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven outside sales within the industrial marketplace.
• Valve-instrumentation-flow knowledge preferred.
• Self-motivated & aggressive in sales tactics and strategies; desire to close sales.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by opening new business.
• Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
• Organize and conduct training sessions for customers.
• Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters.
