Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in the Lenexa area to grow the territory by bringing in new opportunities and developing repeat business with existing accounts. You will engage engineers, contractors and project managers to determine needs and specifications through a consultative approach.

You will sell engineered heating and hot water systems for the industrial sector, conduct sales and service activities, build strong customer relationships, and

Qualifications

• Experience with boiler, steam, water heating, and thermal transfer systems.
• Knowledge of steam-related valves, traps, pumps, controls, instrumentation.
• Proven ability to work with engineers and contractors to identify solutions for project requirements.
• Hands-on experience installing/commissioning steam boilers and water heaters.

Responsibilities

• Grow territory by developing new opportunities and existing accounts.
• Call on engineers, contractors, project managers to determine needs.
• Sell engineered heating and hot water systems within the industrial sector.
• Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
• Organize and conduct product training sessions for customers.
