Job summary

Quaker Houghton is seeking a customer service order processor to handle orders and inquiries in a manufacturing environment. You will review, process and follow up on orders via telephone, fax, internet, and EDI, while maintaining accuracy metrics and timely communication on pricing, confirmations and shipping status.

You will proactively review open order reports, support documentation for customers and sales teams, and manage returns authorizations and customer data updates in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service/order processing preferred.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with multiple channels (phone, email, EDI).

Responsibilities

• Review, process and follow up on orders and inquiries by telephone, fax, internet, EDI and correspondence from customers and Technical Sales Representatives.
• Maintain established performance metrics for order accuracy, volume of entries, phone volume and error rate.
• Responsible for timely customer communications including but not limited to pricing information, order confirmation and shipping status.
• Proactively review open order reports and information, providing documentation as requested to customers, manufacturing plants or sales.
• Process and monitor Return Authorizations, obtain required approvals for changes to customer-specific information and special accommodations.
• Own, manage, maintain and update customer data and files.
