Job summary

Reworld is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to perform mechanical, maintenance and repair work on rotating equipment across our plant in Bristol, CT. Responsibilities include inspection, alignment, balancing, lubrication, and gearbox work, plus welding on steel and stainless parts and conducting regular vibration tests and thermography.

You must have at least five years’ experience, a high school diploma or GED, welding certification for pressure parts, and the ability to work overtime on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Welding certification to work on pressure parts is required.
• Strong reading of blueprints and mechanical drawings; good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain rotating machinery and equipment.
• Inspect and adjust alignment, balance, level and condition of conveyors, pumps, boilers, fans, turbines and other rotating equipment.
• Check, repair, adjust or replace couplings, bearings and mounts.
• Perform weld repairs on pressure vessels and piping.
• Carry out vibration tests, thermography and ultrasonic testing.
• Read measuring tools and technical manuals.
• Follow health and safety rules and procedures.
