Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright/Mechanic to diagnose mechanical failures and repair industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. The role covers preventative maintenance, installation, service, and troubleshooting of pumps, brakes, and related systems, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of journeyman experience, can work 40 hours weekly (4/10s), and will pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of journeyman level experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check.
• Fulltime position, 40 hours/week (4/10s); no per diem or relocation funding.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors, brakes, and clutches.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets, and other machine parts.
• Rebuild pumps, cylinders, and mechanical equipment following SOPs.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rulers, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Fabricates repair parts if necessary.
• Must wear PPE and work safely as per procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
