Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a MILLWRIGHT for our Orange, TX location. The candidate will install, repair, replace and dismantle heavy machinery used in industrial settings, following established procedures and safety standards.

Required are 3-5 years of journeyman level experience and the ability to read blueprints. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
