Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks an Industrial Mechanic for our on-site team in the United States. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot, install, and test components while following safety procedures and SOPs. The position requires 3–5 years of Journeyman experience, ability to work with PPE, and flexibility to perform various physical tasks.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs and installs industrial mechanical equipment.
• Tests, repairs or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors, brakes and clutches.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets and other machine parts.
• Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and other mechanical equipment as necessary following SOPs.
• Fabricates repair parts if necessary.
• Work requires PPE such as rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air respirators, safety harness, and hard hats.
• Must have full mobility to perform duties in various positions and at heights.
• Other duties as assigned.
