Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Millwright Helper III in Rapid City, SD. The role supports installation, removal, and modification of heavy industrial machinery on-site, with a focus on safety and precision.

The successful candidate will assist in equipment handling, alignment, and foundational work, following project directions and safety standards. This full-time position requires flexibility for long shifts and travel to the project site as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret measuring tools such as tape measure, speed square, framing square to perform tasks.
• Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools to perform tasks accurately.
• Assist in moving machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assist in assembling and installing various types of equipment and machinery using hand and power tools.
• Assist in constructing foundations for machinery using wood, cement, and steel.
• Assist in motor and equipment alignment using gauges, rules, dial indicators, and laser alignment.
