Job summary

McGough Construction CO, LLC is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Superintendent to lead field mechanical operations on complex projects. The role requires directing crews, coordinating multiple subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality across the project lifecycle.

The position emphasizes planning, risk management, and strong client relations, with travel to various project sites as needed. OSHA 30 certification and robust construction experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–8 years of construction experience with increasing responsibility in industrial or heavy mechanical settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead large craft workforces and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Proficiency with standard software tools and construction tech platforms.
• OSHA 30 certification currently held.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction tasks including safety, site rules, and logistics planning.
• Oversee field staff, subcontractors, and material delivery with daily huddles.
• Drive short-interval planning and look-ahead scheduling to meet targets.
• Collaborate with PMs on subcontractor selection, RFIs, and procurement tracking.
• Ensure QA/QC plans are followed and documentation is current.
• Identify and mitigate safety, productivity, and schedule risks.
• Support turnover, commissioning, and owner training activities.
