Job summary

McGough Construction is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Superintendent to lead field activities for mechanical scopes across projects and provide strategic planning, execution leadership, and safety oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 5–8 years of construction experience, strong leadership, and experience coordinating multiple subcontractors, with proficiency in scheduling and project management tools. Travel to various sites nationwide is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–8 years of construction experience with progressively increased responsibility.
• Ability to lead large craft workforces and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with construction tech platforms including MS Office, scheduling software, digital field docs, and project mgmt software.

Responsibilities

• Lead field activities for all mechanical scopes and safety oversight.
• Manage field staff, subcontractors, and site logistics planning.
• Lead short-interval planning and look-ahead scheduling with pull-planning.
• Coordinate RFIs, procurement, and materials tracking with PM team.
• Ensure on-site documentation, quality inspections, and turnover activities.
