Job summary

LILT is seeking an experienced Manufacturing and Industrial Operations subject matter expert to design and review AI benchmarking scenarios for Indian factories, covering production, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

As an independent contractor, you will work remotely, set your own hours, and join a global team of language and industry experts to deliver high-quality, language-aware content that improves AI systems.

Qualifications

• Native-level Assamese with strong professional English proficiency.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Manufacturing, Industrial Operations, Production Management, Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain Operations.
• Background in one or more relevant roles: Purchasing & Procurement, Production Supervision, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Logistics Coordination, or Manufacturing Operations.
• Strong understanding of industrial workflows, operational safety standards, production processes, procurement procedures, and Indian manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic Manufacturing and Industrial Operations scenarios in Assamese or English grounded in Indian operational contexts (e.g., production workflows, procurement coordination, quality control, industrial maintenance, process optimization, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving activities)
• Adapt structured evaluation rubrics for operational problem-solving, engineering analysis, inventory coordination, and production management tasks
• Review AI and human-generated responses for factual accuracy, operational efficiency, safety awareness, and industrial realism
• Contribute to “gold standard” solutions reflecting best practices across Indian manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operations
