Job summary

Washington Penn is seeking a Maintenance Technician to execute the facility's equipment maintenance program, improving asset reliability and reducing operating costs. The role supports production uptime and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, electrical work per NEC, assist with capital projects, coordinate with vendors, and help keep spare parts stocked to minimize downtime. Strong mechanical and electrical skills plus PLC familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance roles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulics, pneumatics and gear driven equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing motors, conveyors, pumps and compressors.
• Familiarity with PLCs and basic industrial automation systems.
• Ability to perform electrical maintenance, including wiring, sensors and drives.
• Preventative and predictive maintenance experience.
• Welding, fabrication and machine shop tool experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Experience with lockout/tagout, OSHA safety protocols and industrial safety practices.
• Basic computer skills; strong problem solving for downtime issues.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with EHS policies and support safety initiatives.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and safety audits.
• Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes and equipment design.
• Complete work orders and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Log data in the Maintenance Management System and record parts used.
• Perform electrical work in accordance with NEC code.
• Maintain production uptime by managing resources and coordinating activities.
• Support capital projects with engineering and technical know-how.
• Circuits inspection and trouble shooting; inspect silos, feeders, extruders and handling equipment.
• Perform welding, grinding, fabrication, plumbing and painting as needed.
• Read blueprints and schematics; work as a rigging operator when required.
