Job summary

W3Global is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to own equipment reliability in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain 480V three-phase power systems, motor controls, MCCs, transformers, relays, and safety interlocks while prioritizing safety and uptime.

You will read schematics, size conductors, manage parts in inventory, support mechanical technicians, and contribute to capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience in steel processing or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting with Allen-Bradley equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase power distribution, motor controls, MCCs, transformers, relays, overloads and control circuits.
• Diagnose and maintain PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, sensors, safety relays and interlocks.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Replace parts and locate replacements in inventory databases.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Support mechanical technicians during repairs (motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics).
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Participate in equipment upgrades, automation improvements and capital projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and communicate effectively across teams.
• Use a computer to write reports, respond to emails, and search for parts.
