Job summary

The Maintenance Technician at Alsco Uniforms is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. Duties include start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boilers, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and mechanical work, with supervision by the Chief Engineer.

Ideal candidates have proven maintenance engineering experience, strong electrical skills, and the ability to read schematics, follow safety rules, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Some locations may require relevant certifications, a boiler license or PLC programming.
• Two years of maintenance engineering experience with machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler applications.
• Good verbal and written English, math, time management, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on industrial processing equipment, water levels, water systems and other equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical issues.
• Responds to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and adjusts.
