Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Worker responsible for regular preventative maintenance of large textile processing equipment and facility upkeep. Reports to the Chief Engineer and assists the Maintenance Technician as needed.

You will perform basic maintenance tasks, monitor oil levels, troubleshoot limited electrical issues, and help minimize downtime. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, follow instructions, and work safely in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Demonstrates adequate mechanical aptitude and ability to use power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties, including monitoring oil levels and preventative maintenance of grease fittings, lint traps, and related equipment.
• Assists Maintenance Technician/Chief Engineer and participates in problem resolution to minimize downtime.
• Supports in improving maintenance processes and safety compliance.
• Works with plant personnel in a cooperative and professional manner and follows safety rules.
