Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance professional to safely inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild plant and quarry equipment to maximize uptime. You will work in a heavy industrial setting, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring adherence to MSHA and safety standards.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in heavy manufacturing maintenance, experience with welding and equipment alignment, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing, mining, or industrial environments.
• Experience with welding, equipment alignment, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Prior experience around kilns, conveyors, or heavy equipment.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, SAP or similar systems).
• High School Diploma or GED; apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and rebuild crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
• Install, maintain, and align mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, and rotating equipment.
• Install and support pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform basic welding, torch cutting, and acetylene work.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
