Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance technician to safely inspect, maintain, repair, and rebuild plant equipment in a heavy industrial setting. You will support uptime, production goals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and experience with welding and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical program, or equivalent experience in industrial environment.
• Relevant welding, equipment alignment, and mechanical troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and rebuild crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
• Install, maintain, and align mechanical components including bearings, belts, chains, and rotating equipment.
• Install and support pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform basic welding, torch cutting, and acetylene work as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives to improve uptime.
